GEOTECHNICAL TECHNICIAN - DRILLING FOREMAN SUMMARY Must be a highly
motivated and detail-oriented individual. In this role, you will
work alongside experienced geotechnical engineers/geologists and
drillers to assist in conducting soil and rock drilling
investigations for various construction, environmental, and
infrastructure projects. Your contributions will directly impact
the quality and accuracy of the data collected, contributing to the
success of our projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead the setup and
breakdown of drilling equipment and machinery at job sites. Perform
routine maintenance and inspection of drilling equipment to ensure
proper functioning and safety standards are met. Load and unload
drilling tools, drill rods, and other equipment onto drilling rigs.
Operate drilling machinery to collect soil and rock samples in
accordance with project requirements. Lead in logging and
describing soil and rock samples retrieved during drilling
operations. Conduct basic geotechnical laboratory tests on
collected samples. Follow health and safety protocols to decrease
the likelihood of accidents and incidents. Document drilling
progress, site conditions, and issues that may arise during
operations. Clean and organize drilling site, including disposing
of drilling cuttings and waste properly. Collaborate with
geotechnical engineers, project managers, and other team members to
achieve goals efficiently. Adhere to company policies, industry
regulations, and quality standards during drilling operations.
Participate in on-the-job training to enhance your skills and
knowledge of geotechnical drilling practices. Serve as Construction
Services Representative when not leading drilling operations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE High school diploma or equivalent;
technical or vocational training related to geotechnical or
drilling operations is a plus. Previous experience in a similar
role, construction, or outdoor labor is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of geotechnical concepts, soil types, and
drilling methods is beneficial. Mechanical aptitude and ability to
use hand tools effectively. Physically fit and able to perform
tasks that may involve heavy lifting, bending, and working in
various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
in data collection and recording. Excellent communication skills
and ability to work effectively within a team. Willingness to learn
and adapt to new drilling techniques and procedures.
Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following established
safety protocols. Requires a valid Missouri Class A Commercial
Drivers License. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment

OF WORK This is a full-time position. Most work weeks will be 40 or
more hours. Hours are somewhat flexible and some late evenings
and/or weekends may be required. TRAVEL There may be occasional
overnight travel for this position. Some local day travel may also
