motion.Essential Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for the research and development of belt
compounds and components made from raw materials, as well as the
production processes that transform raw materials into half
products
- Provides technical guidance for writing and maintaining raw
material specifications within the incumbent's area of
responsibility.
- Communicates with suppliers to keep abreast of technology
advances, opportunities for joint development efforts, and new
product introductions.
- Key member of project teams in efforts to develop new
technologies or improve/optimize existing products or
processes.
- Works with cross functional teams to develop ways to increase
customer value through cost reductions, improved manufacturability
and component performance enhancements as required by
customers.
- Coordinates testing and performance evaluations of experimental
based on sound statistical DOE principles.
- Participates in cross-functional problem-solving efforts. Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Technical
/Functional Skills:
- Understanding of chemical and compounding principles
- Organizational skills to work and prioritize multiple
projects
- Attention to detail
- Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions to meet project
objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of statistics and DOEAll qualified
