Working with the highest safety standards, we deliver measurable value, increase productivity and improve operational performance. ****SUMMARY****Multi-Craft Contractors, Inc. currently has an opening for an Inventory Control Technician in the stainless steel Fabrication Division, located in Springfield, MO. The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for inventory organization, and accuracy. The Technician records and maintains inventory records via company ERP, inspects incoming material, verifies quantities and quality of incoming materials, ensures proper placement of material, identifies and analyzes discrepancies, and supports buying, shipping, and receiving tasks. ****ESSENTIAL DUTIES****To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following Essential Duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the Essential Duties of the position, provided it does not create an undue hardship on the Company. - Ensure shop inventory is organized and issued in an efficient manner - Continuously review shop workflow to determine and manage shop inventory storage requirements - Recommend to leadership process, workflow, and material storage improvements - Maintain an accurate inventory of shop material - Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory - Use ERP to assist with recording deliveries, inventory, issuing, shipments, and stock levels - Check shipments when they arrive to ensure orders have been filled correctly and goods meet specifications and place material using industrial equipment in appropriate locations - Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers - Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and supplier interviews to gather information about products to be ordered - Place purchase orders with qualified vendors for materials that meet production requirements - Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties - Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies - Provides additional backup support for buying and shipping & receiving - Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner - May be required to drive a vehicle for business purposes occasionally - Maintain valid drivers license and driving record that meets company policy - Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance - Perform other duties as assigned **ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS*** Exposure to varying outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, varying fumes or odors; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; and work in ditches/excavations * Work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story buildings * Frequent lifting of boxes, parts, or material by hand up to 75lbs or more * Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including standing and/or walking for long periods of time, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying * Frequent use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment * Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities * Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner ****SAFETY SENSITIVE****This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it includes as part of the job duties operating a motor vehicle, operating, maintaining, and monitoring of heavy equipment and machinery, and working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, and in confined spaces. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death.
