POSITION SUMMARY:

The Information Security Analyst 1 assists in the monitoring and reporting of security incidents related to the company computer systems and networks. This position assists in development of processes and procedures that will provide strong security layers for the organization's systems. This role works with project and department teams to identify and resolve PCI, Sarbanes, C-TPAT and other compliance and security issues, and creates, distributes and provides training materials and sessions on IT Security awareness. The Information Security Analyst 1 protects the organizations computer and communications network from intrusion and compromise requires constant monitoring of network traffic, ongoing security awareness by the entire company, and diligent analysis of the way the organization decides to implement new technologies and business processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Analyzes logs, account management and other security procedures. Works with other analysts and department management to provide leadership and guidance for the creation and implementation of remediation processes to correct failures in security requirements.
* Uses knowledge of compliance requirements to help project and departmental teams put necessary safeguards and business best practices to use when implementing new technology or business processes.
* Reviews the security and compliance posture of current systems and performs information security assessments or audits of internal networks and systems in cooperation with management. Documents findings in written reports with recommendations for remediation.
* Drafts and disseminates security policy to address contemporary security threats and vulnerabilities.
* Mentors and trains junior staff, interns, and security liaison with other BU's and IT groups.
* ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security or equivalent IT work experience.
* Experience: 2-4 years

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

* Security+ Certification preferred
* Prior experience in Information Security, compliance, system administrator or related fields
* Ability to collaborate with others and document situations
* Desire to learn new tools

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

* Possibility of infrequent traveling.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Regular computer work, and sitting
* Occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

* Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
