Job Description:
Most shifts are 5:30-3:30 currently, every other Saturday is
required due to need. Overtime is temporarily required! Overview
Assembles components and prepares sub-assemblies for inclusion into
custom procedure trays in various configurations for CPS production
area. Follows instruction from supervisors, team leaders or others
designated to assist leadership in work areas. Uses approved Bills
of Material to assemble trays in compliance with established
designs. Follows all approved assembly guidelines as established by
training manual. Ensures raw materials used during production are
in compliance of established material standards. Ensures proper
handling of materials to minimize amount of scrap loss. This
position involves direct interaction with co-workers, managers and
department directors. Responsibilities Partnership: a. Develops
co-worker relationships to ensure products are produced to
standards and expectations for quality, design, efficiency and
customer satisfaction. b. Works with co-workers and department
leadership so that clinical acceptance and manufacturing quality
standards are achieved. c. Utilize communication skills to maximize
CPS manufacturing quality and production efficiency. d. Work with
supervisors, team leaders, material planners and co-workers to help
with CPS component selection and standardization in relation to
form, fit and quality of products. e. Works with Assembly
Supervisor to develop daily work schedule for CPS production
requirements. f. Works with QA co-workers to identify defects and
opportunities for improvement. Technology: a. Utilize system
related technologies to initiate production schedule, Bills of
Material, assembly design, instructions and build requirements. b.
Utilize system related technologies to prepare tray labeling,
identify component specification hazard codes and qualifications.
c. Insures proper handling of hard copy file Device History Records
(DHR) and associated changes related to CPS manufacturing.
Operational efficiency: a. Communicates proactively with Assembly
Supervisor with regards to production schedule, line setup, changes
in CPT components due to customer request, changes in production
requirements, component availability, utilization or defects. b.
Establishes commitment to produce optimum production efficiency
with regards to customer expectations and production requirements.
c. Provide timely and efficient communication to supervisor and
production co-workers regarding status of scheduled CPS
manufacturing, component defects, wrong item or pick quantities.
General functions: a. Ensures correct component identification as
described on bill of materials prior to line setup. b. Counts,
folds, places and packages components according to assembly
instructions. c. Prepares and cleans assembly area prior to
production setup. d. Actively involved in line setup and
preparation of assembly line. e. Ensures acceptable quality of
materials placed into production trays. f. Ensure correct
quantities of components placed during assembly process. g. Wraps,
labels, seals and packages finished trays according to assembly
instructions. h. Performs line clearance procedures to established
guidelines. i. Provides proper identity to items requiring re-stock
and/or scrap. j. Performs general housekeeping duties k. Performs
other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications Education: N/A
Licensure: N/A Experience: Three months related assembly experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Certifications: N/A Other: Language Skills: Ability to
comprehend simple instructions. Able to speak , read and write
English is desired. Mathematical Skills: Ability to do simple math
add, subtract, multiply using whole numbers. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written and oral. Ability to understand
diagrams is desired. Must be able to duplicate a process or
assembly operation. Preferred Education: High school diploma or
