Pomp's Tire Service has an immediate opening for a full-time Retread Technician. This position will have a specific role to begin to learn the retreading process to build the highest quality retreaded tire, with the opportunity to learn different tasks and grow within the company. Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Carry rolls of rubber with hand truck
• Paint and stack tires
• Clean up and buff off excess rubber on finished tires
• Other duties as assigned by lead/manager
• Load/unload tires in chamber
• Use basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, brake lathe, air wrench, and other essential tools Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, continually changing environment
  • Ability to follow written/computerized instructions
  • Ability to read and understand pressure and temperature charts
  • Ability to visually inspect finished products for quality assurance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical Demands:
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and upright a tire to a maximum of 150 pounds with mechanical assistance
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry rolls of tread rubber to a maximum of 120 pounds with mechanical assistance
    • Constant standing; frequent lifting and turning
    • Frequent use of fingers and hands to grasp items
    • Frequent reaching above shoulders
