Overview:Dexter, a premier manufacturer and distributor of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts and accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at our distribution facility located in Springfield, Missouri. Position Summary:The Accounts Receivable Clerk position primary job duties are to process incoming checks, accurately post customer payments to accounts, and communicate with customers to maintain accurate account balances. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Accurately record payments from customer into A/R detail according to customer instructions and by following all Dexter policies and proceduresPrepare bank deposits for Dexter and complete remote deposit.File and balance accounting reports and documentsHelp with monthly close, preparing customer statements to be mailedResolve problems with customer accounts and document communication in customer account notesTake customer calls regarding invoice copies and payment questionsWork closely with the credit department regarding questions on payments, customer accounts, etc.Report computer errors to AR Supervisor & IS SupportReview and process customer refund requests Create sales tax credits for tax exempt customers according to state lawCommunicate with branch contacts on a daily basis Requirements: We are looking for a candidate that will take our core values to heart and has a strong drive to succeed in our industry. This position requires strong leadership abilities and strong organization and planning skills. Dexter provides training. Minimum Education Required*: High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredMinimum Experience Required*: minimum of one year experience in accounting*Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
