Job Description:

The Workers Compensation Coordinator -is responsible for the overall management of team member injury claims, to ensure that injured team members receive the benefits that they deserve, while minimizing corporate claim costs.Essential Job Functions

• Assess all new claims and immediately engage in those that are serious, questionable, or lost-time. -
• Act as "Injury Counselors" and maintain regular contact with injured team members.
• Manage the work of the claim administrator to ensure compliance with special claim handling requirements as well as industry standards. - Alert Manager of problems.
• Manage claim administrator's utilization of appropriate vendor service providers.
• Coordinate with doctors, claim administrator, field management, etc. in managing the application of the transitional modified duty program.
• Act as a liaison between team member, claim administrator and the Company to ensure all eligible benefits are provided to the injured team member.Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Two years of experience in human resources and/or managing and coordinating worker's compensation claims.
