Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer I, you will use technical knowledge in the monitoring, support, service request investigation and resolution for specific software, hardware or system solutions and applications. In this role, you will work primarily with network infrastructure. You will proactively monitor system and application alarms, investigate, analyze, resolve or escalate alarms and service requests. This includes prioritizing and managing work queue in accordance with service level agreements, thoroughly documenting investigation and issue resolution and triaging issues to appropriate second-level resources for resolution. In addition, you will investigate and diagnose performance issues on client domains as well as implement software patches and upgrades.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software engineering, related field or equivalent, relevant work experience
Expectations
  • Must reside in or around the Springfield, MO area
  • Must be available to work on-call rotation
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
