Human Resources Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting accurate and compliant personnel records, policies, procedures and forms.
Supports the HR Project Manager by providing graphic design and project support. Provides support to the HR
Project Team with data entry of new and current employees and CDS attendants in human resources
information system (HRIS) and scheduling software as needed.

The following statements describe the principal activities of this position identified and shall not be construed as a detailed exposition of all the duties that may be inherent in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
  • Represents Integrity and the HR department in a professional and courteous manner at all times;
  • Supports the Corporate HR Quality Improvement Manager with entering new and current field and office staff, contract worker, CDS attendant, and volunteer information and documents into the HRIS and scheduling software, including processing personnel activations, changes, transfers, and terminations;
  • Assists the HR Quality Improvement Manager with maintaining accurate data in the HRIS through conducting internal audits of personnel information to ensure compliance with DOL, DHSS, OFCCP, EEOC, and other regulatory agencies;
  • In collaboration with the HR Quality Improvement Manager, manages the HRIS software and runs reports to maintain accurate employee records
  • • Assists the HR Quality Improvement Manager with processing and filing I-9’s, E-Verify, Workers’ Compensation checks, new hire and annual MVR checks, annual FCSR checks, and annual Kansas background checks;
  • Maintains compliant active/term office staff and field employee personnel files in accordance with Department of Labor (DOL) and DHSS record keeping standards as instructed by the HR Quality Improvement Manager;
  • Processes and coordinates inquiries and requests for employment information;
  • Processes records requests and unemployment claims, as they are received by the corporate office;
  • Assists the HR Quality Improvement Manager with forms for the human resources department, including updating forms as changes take place;
  • Assists the HR Quality Improvement Manager with maintaining updated HR forms, policies, job descriptions, and processes published on the intranet
  • Backs up the HR Assistants as needed;
  • Complies with Compliance Plan;
  • Complies with HIPAA Policies. Maintains confidentiality of information relating to the patient and family. Will discuss only those aspects necessary to the care and treatment of patient and family with those directly involved in the patient’s care;
  • As business needs may change, may perform additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor that are reasonably related to the position.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or applicable experience preferred.

Experience/Certification:

  • Previous experience providing functional support including HR duties required;
  • Minimum three (3) to four (4) years’ Human Resources or related experience and/or PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SP Certification preferred;
  • Knowledge of EEOC and DHSS guidelines and requirements preferred.
