As a Machine Operator / Assistant, you’ll play a key role in our full line manufacturing operation. Based on your experience, you may support various positions across the facility while helping drive productivity and meet customer commitments. Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation of manufacturing equipment Monitor production quality to ensure compliance with specifications and standards Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting using hand tools Accurately document production data, downtime, and maintenance using computer systems Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to resolve issues and meet production goals Follow instructions closely and maintain strong attention to detail to support on time delivery Work week starts 3 rd shift Sunday night: 3 rd shift 11pm – 7am 1 st shift 7am – 3pm 2 nd shift 3pm – 11pm How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: Assist in the production of quality products, timely, and safely Demonstrate daily the Smurfit Westrock values of Safety, Loyalty, Integrity, and Respect Collaborate with others to learn, understand, and train others in the processes of Smurfit Westrock Promote safe work environment by following all safety protocols and processes to ensure you and your fellow team members return home safely each day. What you need to succeed: Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting or individually depending on the assigned position. 2-3 years proven and consistent work background Ability to work any shift in a 3-shift environment as well as up to 4 hours overtime either before or after scheduled shift up to 12 hours. (both daily and/or weekend) Consistent and dependable attendance Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that is hot and humid in the Summer/Fall. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math used in manufacturing process Ability to perform repetitive motions, involving lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, and bend throughout the entire shift with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior full line manufacturing experience is preferred All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of background checks and pre-employment drug testing. What we offer: Starting wage $21.04 during the probationary period and then increases to position assigned but no less than $22.89.
