Walmart Inc., a leader in the global retail landscape, is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer in Back End Development to join our innovative IT & Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting robust solutions that support our vast e-commerce and in-store operations. Leveraging the latest in back end technologies, you will design and implement critical software components that ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with our business goals, while promoting efficiencies and enhancing the customer shopping experience. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back-end code. Implement performance and quality modules to help scale applications for millions of users. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Collaborate with frontline teams to transfer business requirements into technical designs. Lead the integration of front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language (such as Java, Python, Ruby, .NET) Understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming styles. Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, their declarative query languages, and transaction processing. Strong unit test and debugging skills. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Java, Python, or .NET is preferred. Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Certified Scrum Master or similar is a plus).
