The Human Resources Generalist will provide day-to-day and strategic HR support of Company goals, mission, and values. Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist will act as a partner providing human resources guidance and develop/deliver business solutions while staying in compliance with State, Federal, and Company law, regulations, and policies.Key Responsibilities:Partner with designated leaders and employees to provide strategic HR support and gain a deep understanding of the businessPlan onboarding strategies and perform new hire orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experienceProactively address employee relations issues with leaders and provide guidance on how to handle, ensuring consistency in approach and mitigating risk for the CompanyRespond to employee issues/concerns regarding policies and disciplinary actions, provide feedback to leaders to ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely mannerPartner with leaders on the performance management process; facilitate and analyze 30/60/90-day evaluations and exit interviews making actionable recommendations based on dataProcess changes in HRIS, maintain employee files and documents related to employee performanceAssist in the development and implementation of programs or information related to HR policies and proceduresParticipate in developing department goals, objectives, and systemsParticipate in general staff meetings and trainingsAct as a liaison between field employees and various departmentsCollaborate with HR team members across the CompanyUtilize HR technology platforms and other tools to maintain employee data for regulatory, proposal, recruitment, and reporting purposesRecommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performedMaintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws as well as current human resources best practicesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's or master's degree in related field with two (2) or more years of human resources experience; or seven (7) or more years of human resources experiences, or a combination of education and experienceMicrosoft Office experienceValid driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Ability to coach, counsel, discipline and develop employeesKnowledge of DOL, FLSA, ADA, and ADAAA Compliance/RegulationsKnowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulationsAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external customersStrong work ethic, demonstrating integrity, trust, and maintain confidentialityAbility to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributorExcellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to read, write, and comprehend reports and associated documentsAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlinesBusiness acumen and ability to work effectively across various teams and levelsFlexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvementDemonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer serviceAbility to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objectsAbility to coordinate two or more limbs (for example: two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standingAbility to make simple and repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wristsKnowledge of proper lifting techniquesAbility to follow all company safety policies and procedures
