This position works cross-functionally with the Merchant and Inventory Department to produce item level forecast for the Business Sales Division. Ultimately, the goal is to capture, and document demand stemming from various programs and consolidate these needs into category level inventory plans that can be added into the overall financial plan. Demand is captured in various selling channels; however, this position will work particularly close with our National Sales Representatives, the Business Sales Outfitter Program and our internal operational teams. It is the decision-making party for current and new processes as well as actions plans for item management and suggested Business Sales item offerings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works cross-functionally with Merchant & Inventory Teams to ensure identified Business Sales programs are embedded in the overall company's overall inventory plan. 20% Provides inventory forecasts for Business Sales within guidelines of pre-determined Inventory Planning schedules. This includes developing action plans with Merchant and Inventory teams as needed for the buy and flow to the DC. 20 % Collaborates with Merchant Team to establish future season plans for catalog creation. Includes providing a demand forecast for Inventory Teams. 15% Works with Merchant/Inventory Teams to obtain product outside of forecasted demand. Develops actions plans with Merchant and Inventory Teams as needed for buys and flow to the DC. 10% Responsible for the identification and documentation of all product demand generated by the Business Sales Division. This position is also responsible for the research and analytics that would allow for consolidation on future buys. 20% Manages the inventory process at the item level for Business Sales. 10% Responsible for assisting outfitters in resolving product problems or questions. Should be first point of contact to Merchant and Inventory teams for product questions and inaccurate descriptions. 5% ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process improvement and change: Continually looking to improve and develop the process used by Outfitters - makes recommendations for change as needed Cross Functional liaison - act as a liaison between many different parts of the company. Assist with many different concerns or problems Work closely with National Sales Manager(s) as needed to find products for a company/business program Assist Outfitters with system problems and concerns. Work with SMEs and trainers as needed EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required : Associates Degree Experience : 2-4 years in inventory management KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Proficient knowledge of Excel Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Strong analytical skills to combine data and facts TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A Bass Pro Shops is an equal opportunity employer.
