Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - PICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Three 13-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed weekly hours /n• 13-week assignment length /n• Must have at least 1 year of PICU experience post orientation /n• Must be ventilator trained and competent /n• Required certifications: BLS, PALS from AHA only, TNCC or PCAR /n• Preferred certification: ENPC /n• Weekend hours as required by facility /n• No call requirements unless sent home during shift due to low census /n• Float requirements to NICU, PICU, Pediatric medical floor, or Peds ED based on patient volumes /n• Work in 12-bed unit with patient ratios determined by acuity: vented/critical patients 1:1, ICU status 2:1, floor status 3:1 /n• Care for patients with respiratory, surgical, trauma/burn, neurosurg, sepsis, hematology/oncology and endocrinology conditions /n• Use EPIC electronic medical records system /n• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and must be available entire week /n• Dress code: Black scrubs or pediatric appropriate t-shirt with black scrub pants /n• Current RN license meeting Missouri criteria required /n• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting and pushing patients, working with up to 50 lbs. /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility earned an A grade in The Leapfrog Group's Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Grade and is known for its combination of leading-edge healthcare and compassionate caregivers.
