Springfield, MO Hospitals: Cox Medical Center South & Mercy

644-bed acute care facility with Level III NICU, MFM consults, and
in-house OB anesthesia. Mercy Hospital Springfield :
Family-centered maternity care, modern birthing suites, Level III
NICU, and nationally recognized for maternity excellence. What Does
an OB/GYN Hospitalist Do? Care for all pregnant women who present
emergently Support private practice physicians & unassigned
patients Deliver babies, perform surgery & assist in procedures
Provide consultations to the ED Mentor residents, medical students
& nurses Participate in safety drills, best practices & quality
initiatives What is an OBHG Site Director? (Opening at Mercy
Hospital Springfield Only) More than a lead physician, they connect
national support with local hospital needs Oversee clinical
operations and foster teamwork Ensure 24/7 coverage, strong
leadership, and high-quality standards Solve scheduling challenges
