ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12) • 36 guaranteed hours per week • 13-week assignment length • Weekend hours as required by facility • No call requirements unless sent home during shift due to low census • Float requirements to NICU, PICU, Pediatric medical floor, or Peds ED based on patient volumes • Patient ratios: Vented/critical patients 1:1, ICU status 2:1, floor status 3:1 (determined by acuity) • Required certifications: BLS and PALS from AHA only, TNCC or PCAR • Preferred certification: ENPC • Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure required • Minimum 1 year PICU experience post-orientation required • Must be ventilator competent • Work with 12-bed unit treating respiratory, surgical, trauma/burn, neurosurgery, sepsis, hematology/oncology, and endocrinology patients • Use EPIC electronic medical records system • Dress code: Black scrubs or pediatric appropriate t-shirt with black scrub pants • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments • Physical requirements include standing/walking most of shift, lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.
