Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Work evening shifts with variable schedules: 1100-2300, 1300-0100, or 1500-0300 depending on facility needs • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be indicated on submission form) • 13-week assignment length • Work weekends as required by facility • No call requirements • Patient ratios typically 4:1 (ratios not guaranteed and may vary with surge or other circumstances) • Work in a 68-bed emergency department • Use EPIC electronic medical record system • Dress code requires black scrubs • Must have 1 year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC; NIHSS (may be obtained prior to start) • Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri • Care for all age groups including trauma, pediatric, and high acuity patients • Handle 200 patients per day in busy urban trauma center environment • Provide direct patient care utilizing nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments • Night shift orientation occurs on day shift with full week availability required • Block schedules cannot be accommodated • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in clean, air-conditioned environment Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center known for combining leading-edge healthcare with compassionate care.
