License Certifications: BLS, PALS from AHA only Must-Have: Vent
competent Description: Flu vaccination or approved exemption is
required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1. Position is
for a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. Candidates
must be available for the entire week for orientation on day
shifts. Demonstrated clinical expertise in pediatric care is
required. Position involves performing direct patient care
activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation of care. Coordination of patient
care activities with ancillary departments is necessary to optimize
patient care and comfort. Nurses are expected to work in different
areas as determined by patient volumes. Maintaining patient rights
and confidentiality of patient information is essential. Physical
demands include standing and walking most of the time, as well as
lifting and pushing patients. The environment is usually clean and
air-conditioned. Professional accountability for the provision of
patient care must be maintained. Candidates should have strong
skills in human relations and communication. The workflow may
include evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other
caregivers. Preference will be given to candidates who also have
ENPC certification. Patient ratios are determined by acuity
levels.
