Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year in telemetry License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in Missouri Certifications: - BLS from AHA - NIHSS (obtain prior to start, if not already certified) Must-Have: - 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience Job Description: - Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process. - Maintain professional accountability for patient care provision. - Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care with other departments to optimize patient comfort and treatment. - Uphold patient rights and confidentiality. - Function within nursing practice guidelines and standards. - Engage in patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Monitor and coordinate care activities with ancillary departments. - Stand and walk throughout the shift, meeting unit-specific physical demands. - Perform duties in alignment with mission and service standards. - Exposure to high-risk environments with significant physical demands. - Manage patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. - Maintain standards of nursing practice, conduct, mission, and values. This position requires a determined, decisive, and flexible personality, with adherence to a strict dress code of black scrubs. The successful candidate will work every other weekend as required and may encounter high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
