Summary Job Summary The Graduate Respiratory Therapist is a member of the health care team who has completed a Co Arc approved Registered Respiratory Therapy program.The Graduate Respiratory Therapist may be in this position for up to 180 days.The Graduate Therapist must obtain and move to the Registered Respiratory Therapist position by the 181st day, or employment is terminated.The Graduate Respiratory Therapist may perform care in all areas of the hospital.This care is to include medicated and non-medicated therapy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, application and titration of oxygen therapy, pulmonary diagnostic testing and arterial blood gas performance and analysis.The Graduate Respiratory Therapist assesses the patient to assist in formulation of a respiratory care plan.The Graduate Respiratory Therapist will respond to emergent clinical needs throughout the facility.Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field Experience No prior experience required Skills Provides care as appropriate to age of population served.Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol.Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.Possesses assessment and critical thinking skills.Possesses in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures.Licensure/Certification/Registration Current Education Permit or Missouri State License for Respiratory.Must pass the RRT boards within 180 days OR have CRT credential from the NBRC.Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire Additional Information Job Benefits & Perks! ***Candidates may be eligible for a sign on bonus*** o Relocation bonus available for qualified candidates o Loan forgiveness available for qualified candidates o Up to 80 hours of Earned Time Off (ETO) o Tuition reimbursement up to $1200 per year o Health/Dental/Vision o Retirement with employer match o 20% tuition discount on most classes at Cox College o Opportunity to earn referral bonuses of up to $5,000 per hire for certain positions o Cafeteria discount.If you would like more information about job benefits & perks, please feel free to email us@hr-recruitment@coxhealth.com or visit https://www.coxhealth.com/employees/benefits/
