Participate in the support of the clinical perfusion service by assisting with the design, stocking, and purchasing of equipment, and disposables utilized during extracorporeal circulation. Perfusionists continuously strive to maintain the highest level of competency.We are located in a brand-new heart hospital offering 500-600 cases per year including ECMO. Your team is amazing with a lot of experience so mentorship and support is available. We are also a clinical rotation site for the University of Nebraska.We are offering a $15,000 commencement bonus plus relocation package. Qualifications:* Education: Graduate of an accredited Perfusion education program.* Licensure: Licensed by the state of Missouri as a Clinical Perfusionist or Provisional Clinical Perfusionist.* Experience: Successful completion of an accredited perfusion education program and be eligible to take the ABCP board exams.* Certifications: Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or become a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) by the ABCP within on year of hire. Maintain current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or acquire within the probationary period.* Other: * 30 minute response rate when on call. * Must pass a physical exam upon hire, prior to start date. * Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, biochemistry, hematology, cardiology, specialized medical, mechanical and electrical equipment, clinical and surgical procedures, as well as administrative policies and procedures. * The ability to deal with high stress situations, work independently, have effective interpersonal communication skills.* Preferred Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited perfusion education program.* Preferred Experience: 3-5 years as as Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP), ECMO experience.We Offer Great Benefits:Day-one comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement and employer-matched retirement funds are just a few of the great benefits offered to eligible co-workers, including those working 48 hours or more per pay period!We?re bringing to life a healing ministry through compassionate care.At Mercy, our supportive community will be behind you every step of your day, especially the tough ones.
