OVERVIEW Enactus US President This is an exciting leadership opportunity to drive growth and innovation at the United States' largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of leaders with a head for business, a heart for the world. Enactus is a global organization with operations in 37 countries. Of those, the Enactus United States organization is the oldest and among the largest with a robust network of corporate and individual supporters. This role is responsible for the strategic leadership of Enactus United States, including the development and implementation of comprehensive partnership strategies with leading companies across the US and additional revenue strategies, and of a transformative program strategy. The role reports to the Enactus president and chief executive officer. This is a unique opportunity to partner with an energized, engaged board, partners, and leadership team to strengthen and diversify the philanthropic profile of Enactus United States. As such, the person in this role has the opportunity to work closely with corporate leaders, with leading faculty across on 400+ university and college campuses, with thousands of engaged Enactus students, and with a passionate Enactus team. Enactus seeks a proven, highly motivated, dynamic and inspiring strategic leader with superior relationship skills and demonstrated success in building fundraising or sales capacity and driving revenue growth. This role will foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization, lead and strengthen the organization's culture and systems to support fund development and vice versa, and lead staff on the same; and maintain strong accountability and compliance standards. Enactus is based in Springfield, Missouri, though it is not essential that this role be based there. Considerable travel is required for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate with Enactus leadership, Enactus board and Enactus US Executive Committee (US EC) to define the organization's direction; lead revenue growth; and inspire and drive innovation. Develop a realistic plan for a balanced funding mix of sources and solicitation programs tailored to the needs of the organization that enable Enactus US to attract, retain, inspire and excite current and prospective partners. Lead the Enactus US EC and National Advisory board, driving a clear charter and effective use of partners' participation Collaborate with Enactus leadership to drive innovation in program offerings and implementation; help assure impact reporting that meets or exceeds partner needs. Keep informed of developments in philanthropy and fund development in the sector; inform the leadership team and US EC on current trends and issues to facilitate growth. Establish appropriate performance measures, monitors results and help the chief executive officer and board evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's fund development program. Collaborate effectively with the leadership team to meet or exceed best practice non-profit standards and to help ensure effective overall positioning of Enactus. Foster an environment of cohesiveness, collaboration and achievement, and ensure staff accountability through clearly defined and measurable goals. Contribute to a work environment that is rewarding to staff. Create a climate that promotes respect for others as well as the highest ethical standards and practices. Embrace diversity as a strategic advantage. Appropriately represent Enactus US, it's brand, board and network to all audiences. Lead the organization's revenue development strategy and implementation, manage the day-to-day operations of the development function, and drive results. Lead the planning, execution and management of Enactus US fundraising and revenue generation. Design and assure implementation of cost-effective development programs, employing economy while maintaining quality and solid return on investment. Develop a balanced funding mix of sources and solicitation programs tailored to the needs of the organization that enable it to attract, retain and motivate donors. Assure appropriate research to deepen and diversify the Enactus US current funding base. Engage and cultivate a personal portfolio of current and prospective corporate and individual donors and development of additional channels. Strengthen existing partner relationships through regular, relevant communication and stewardship. Generate short-term results while driving the broader partnership strategy. Foster an effective Enactus US development department, and build a strong and nimble team through recruitment, professional development, performance management, training and motivational leadership. Collaborate closely with marketing and communications team on all stakeholder-facing marketing and branding efforts. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS The successful candidate must have demonstrated success as a revenue builder, be a highly articulate communicator skilled at making a compelling case for support and have an authentic passion for Enactus. An established leader with at least 10 years of relevant senior nonprofit development and/or corporate sales or comparable business development experience required. Experience building a comprehensive fundraising or sales operation aligning multiple aspects of revenue development preferred. Demonstrated experience working with executives, senior staff and board members on development-related activities, providing them with quality support, and increasing their comfort with and success in fundraising. A strong work ethic, ability to maintain and model high personal, ethical and professional standards, as well as an outgoing and positive personality required. Support of Enactus' values of integrity, passion, innovation and collaboration with drive to advance a global brand in student leadership, entrepreneurial action and social enterprise. Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is preferred. Membership in a professional fundraising association and/or baseline certification in fund raising, the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Professional) is preferred. Previous experience with Enactus and with Salesforce a plus. Ability to travel as needed, maintaining and expanding the reach and impact of the Enactus brand and purpose.
