The Business Resilience Manager will join the Business Resilience
department as it grows, scales, and matures the firm's Business
Resilience Program and serve as an Advisor to business areas
throughout the firm. The Advisor will assist their assigned
business areas to better understand the related business processes,
develop Business Continuity Plans, perform Business Continuity
Tests, assess Business Resilience Risk, and provide guidance for
reducing Business Resilience Risks.
The Business Resilience Manager (Advisor) is responsible for:
- Supporting the Business Resilience Program through educating
Business Process Owners and assisting with assessing business
impacts and building mitigation strategies
- Contributing to the implementation of the ERM (Enterprise Risk
Management) framework in Business Resilience
- Contributing to the establishment, maintenance, and embedding
of the program enhancements
- Partnering with Business Resilience Program Governance,
Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, and other Risk Partners to ensure
regulatory requirements are being met and comply with the firm's
resiliency strategy
- Clearly communicating complex business concepts to all levels
of the firm, including Sr. Leadership, in both written and oral
form, to effectively influence critical decisions or actions
- Proactively working to impact current and future business
results and decisions Functional Skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply risk management principles to
business and technology processes
- Demonstrated participation in cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, comprehend, and leverage
complex risk and operational data
- Knowledge of key program components pertaining to business
resilience including assessing compensating controls and making
recommendations to internal stakeholders Education/Certification
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or
Information Services is strongly preferred, or equivalent work
experience
- Have or willing to obtain Associate Business Continuity
Professional (ABCP) certification or Certified Business Continuity
Professional (CBCP) certification Years of Relevant Experience
- Required - 4+ Years of Experience in Risk Management, Business
Resilience, Technology or related work experience
- Required - Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred - Business Continuity Planning, Third Party
Resilience, Governance, and/or Risk Management Experience
- Preferred - Financial Services Industry Experience
- Plus - Prior Leadership Experience Please note: Candidates that
live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis,
MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three
days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
Problem Solving:
- Proven ability to deliver actionable analysis and
recommendations that combine internal and external data and root
cause analysis to minimize risk and improve program adherence.
Develop and maintain strong knowledge related to the role and
associated business processes.
- Understand regulatory and firm requirements and how they impact
the program. Occasionally partner with Enterprise Risk, Internal
Audit, other risk partners, and business areas to ensure regulatory
requirements are being met and comply with the firm's resiliency
strategy.
- Ability to deliver KPIs and develop dashboards that provide key
performance insights to improve insights and BC Risk Management.
Deliver process and third party updates, assumption refinement, and
quantitative analysis improvements that integrate into the
department's process. Decision Making:
- Effectively communicate analysis recommendations to team,
peers, and leaders for high risk processes and critical business
services.
- Ability to package complex analysis into easily digestible
materials, PowerPoints, and narratives. Can simplify complex
analysis artifacts for executive consumption and also guide/teach
teams to do the same.
- Create and deliver training to team and business partners.
Develop and maintain documentation for use within department and by
business areas. Contribute to team strategy. Span of Influence:
- Develop an external network and develops and maintains an
internal network of relationships both within the BC specialization
and with key stakeholders supporting the function and business
areas
- Participate in and regularly lead cross-functional teams.
- Informal people leadership. Lead portions of training for new
team members and serve as mentor for team member(s).
- Proactively develop self, demonstrating progress across the

range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is
based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors
for a potential new associate:
Salary: $81750 - $139194
