We have been retained to find a talented Plant Manager! Job Requirements: Overall Role & Responsibility:

  • Lead the site MO management team ensuring optimal collaboration across functions, working in compliance with agreed vision, policies and guidelines (principles) and local regulations.
  • Develop and manage teams to meet business and production objectives maintaining good engagement rates.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with company and local regulations.
  • Lead improvement projects (including capex, operational excellence) ensuring compliance with schedule, budget and quality.
  • Participate actively in the global organization ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are well informed on matters of importance.
  • Represent the company before local and state government authorities and other entities as necessary. Main tasks:
    • Define site strategic plan aligned with the global operation and business strategy.
    • Create a solid culture of Environment, Health and Safety, and Quality ensuring ongoing assessment and relevant benchmarks are completed.
    • Observe the agreed short and long term targets for color production, including delivery time and costs and, if conditions are changed, perform the necessary corrective actions and inform the involved parties.
    • Monitor established production schedules for the plant to accomplish delivery performance target while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
    • Make sure to have a timing and reliable measurement systems in production, quality and business KPIs.
    • Conduct constant assessments of personnel, making sure to have the necessary skills and good level of engagement.
    • Observe effective local systems and procedures which are coherent with global systems and procedures.
    • Ensure optimal capacity utilization and help prioritize investment plan.
    • Maintain primary processing and production equipment and ancillary services, maintain plant site security systems, and ensure general services are provided in order to ensure employees are working under comfortable, secure, safe and healthy conditions.
    • Ensure compliance with the QA practices providing resources and guideline to close any non-conformity that represents a risk for quality standards.
    • Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets, including relevant departments accountable to the achievement of budgets.
    • Monitor operation expenses. Initiate projects to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
    • Be the leader and promoter of operational excellence on site; encourage and promote operations in a continuous improvement environment.
    • Identify and report in a clear and transparent way all situations that represent a threat to accomplish any of the targets established for the position.
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all corporative policies, principles, position and the Code of Conduct. Requirements:
      • Bachelors degree in Food Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and related careers
      • Directly responsible for production units.
      • Experience in positions managing shift operations.
      • Experience leading or implementing operational excellence methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.) and KPIs.
      • Manage budget
      • Able to see and act as business owner beyond the manufacturing site
      • Natural leader, inspiring, getting work done through others
      • Agile to manage unexpected situations
      • Managing diverse relationships from top management to the production floor
      • Acting with a high level of integrity
      • Focusing on action and outcomes - hands on
      • Evaluating and deploying people accurately
      • Fluent in English
