ManagerThis position is accountable for organization-wide
management of Revenue Integrity functions including accurate charge
capture and reconciliation, Revenue Cycle Analytics, CDM coding
updates and resolving pre-bill coding edits to facilitate clean
claims and optimal revenue capture. The Manager - Revenue Integrity
serves as an expert within the revenue cycle for Revenue Integrity
and provides a bridge between programs and revenue cycle areas to
support quality client care and revenue cycle objectives.
Job Duties:
- Provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for
coding trends and charge capture
- Manage the enhancement and overall effectiveness of client net
revenue realization and minimizing revenue leakage across the
organization
- Assist System Director in the development and implementation of
process enhancement for organization and departmental initiatives
to enhance charge capture accuracy and reimbursement
- Oversee staff within the Revenue Integrity Department and will
be responsible for oversight and understanding of departmental
charging processes including electronic health record charge
capture interfaces
- Responsible for establishing, designing, implementing, and
enforcing charging and reconciliation policies and procedures as
well as streamlining and creating effective charging processes
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the maintenance of
charge description master (CDM), and/or other pertinent regulations
and policies, ensuring all data elements are accurate and comply
with all payer requirements
- Ensure the resolution of issues that arise from information
submitted
- Provide validation reviews, audits, documentation and training
for the area of knowledge; sharing information with Finance, HIM,
and other revenue producing areas or departments
- May conduct daily charge capture audit and education in high
performing areas
- Serve as an active participant in the development and
implementation of performance improvement program for charge
capture
- Review claim denials and rejections pertaining to billing,
authorization, coding, and documentation requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance plans and government
programs to ensure compliance with current organization policies
and procedures
- Maintain working knowledge of the flow of information for the
billing process and the clinical documentation that provides
support for the billing processQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Education requirements may be
waived by way of comparable experience on a case-by-case basis
- 2 years of coding and reimbursement experience required
- 2 years of Management/Supervisory experience required
- Pre-bills edits and Chargemaster or Revenue Cycle experience
required
- Strong analytical, communication and organization skills and
the ability to work effectively with other leaders to achieve
business objectives is required
- Strong business skills, including strategic planning, executive
presentation skills and business financial acumen
- Experience in report generation, data collection systems and
