POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will report to the Corporate Reliability and Maintenance
Manager and be located at our Verona, MO plant. The Regional
Reliability and Maintenance Engineer position provides strategic
ownership of the Reliability and Maintenance programs, initially
focused at the Verona site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The Reliability and Maintenance Manager will maintain and
improve performance of the company's physical assets and monitor
maintenance labor and material costs to achieve plant performance
goals.
- Drives improvement of maintenance and reliability performance/
work processes using KPIs.
- Accountable for all site maintenance (routine and turnarounds)
and reliability projects.
- Maintains compliance with all PSM/ OSHA 1910.119 and
environmental regulations.
- This position requires considerable interaction with plant
union employees, leadership team, engineering, corporate functional
leadership, external support, and contractors
- Develops and implements the annual strategic objectives and
budget for the maintenance organization to support the directives
for the plant and monitors performance and cost effectiveness to
meet goals.
- Manages maintenance department costs, including labor, parts,
and equipment; maintains costs within budget.
- Manage the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets,
including production equipment, facilities, utility equipment, and
grounds.
- Selects, manages and works jointly with engineering or
construction personnel in performing building structural, plant
process, or other construction projects to make sure they conform
to specifications and code requirements that necessary permits have
been obtained, proper materials are on hand, and that projects
proceed on schedule; coordinates scheduling of and supervises work
activities of contractors performing approved capital projects for
the company; evaluates contractor work, sets expectations with
contractor for safety performance, and ensures security of
confidential information.
- Implements of spare parts inventory program to guarantee an
appropriate stock level of maintenance parts and supplies.
- Prepares activity reports, project proposals and cost analysis
of replacing or repairing machinery, structures or other equipment
as directed.
- Review and optimize equipment maintenance strategies for
process equipment; inspection, preventive, predictive and
non-interventive strategies. Assess and recommend vendor and 3rd
party maintenance services as necessary.
- Conducts root cause analysis for significant or repeat
equipment failures and implements improvements to eliminate
recurrence.
- Reviews CMMS data and equipment documentation and ensures
accuracy and completeness of the dataset and files.
- Analyzes CMMS data to improve equipment reliability and reduce
maintenance costs.
- Provides reliability and maintenance input on capital projects
to guide project team on reliability and maintainability of the
equipment. Provides input on the technical check out, equipment
check out and commissioning of new assets. Ensures project related
changes in equipment strategies and equipment specifications are
updated in the CMMS database.
- Provides technical expertise for PSM and mechanical integrity
programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in Maintenance/ Reliability/ Engineering in a PSM
regulated Chemical Plan.
- Ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders
across the operation to ensure improved collaboration and deliver
results.
- Experience with PSM systems and hazardous processes (OSHA
1910.119), CMMS, RCA, PM and Maintenance Work Process.
- Experience using CMMS and ERP software.
