This position--is to work in collaboration with our partner and client Accuv--https://www.accuv.com/ Job Description What You'll Do A Senior Release Engineer is tasked with the responsibility to ensure code management activities such as branching, repository management, version controls, release process management and continuous integration and continuous deployment; supporting the ongoing process improvements and the enablement software development and QA teams. Adopting best practices and working with the Engineering leadership to evangelize release management best practices and promote a creative and collaborative work environment. Work with the Development and QA teams to improve the CI/CD pipeline and its integrations with code repositories, unit tests, integration and functional tests, static code analysis, SAST and DAST, build automation, container packaging, automated deployment of the applications in Dev, SIT, Staging and Production. Take ownership of the release management process, organize each Sprint release with all engineering teams, track bugs and assess risk as well as publish release notes and manage version control. Qualifications Technical skills -- Design and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines -- Define Branching and release strategy -- Manage risk--and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality -- Advise on solution versioning control best practices -- Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates -- Product deployment, run books and Implementation Plans -- Communicate release details and schedules to the business as required -- Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities -- Work with Engineering Squads to understand impacts of branches and code merges -- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process -- Participate in--meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks -- Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists -- 5+ years of previous release and/or project management experience, (solid understanding of project management principles preferred) -- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle Additional Information Please Note: This job description is not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties or skills and due to the changing nature of the job is subject to review and change at any time, with or without notice.
