passion for Cloud based Solutions? The Gladiator Network Service team is looking for a Network Engineer to join our hosted solutions group. Gladiator is known for providing all its Jack Henry branded clients with top tier network, system and cloud technologies as well as an excellent customer experience. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and love to work closely with our clients and develop strong relationships with their members. You will need to be able to interface with all levels of engineers and provide technical analysis, extensive troubleshooting abilities, and project management skills to ensure customer needs are adequality addressed within a Windows server-based environment. You will drive team collaboration and must possess the ability to enhance the team's overall technical aptitude. Software experience required will focus on Microsoft Windows based servers and workstations as well as Microsoft Office, Adobe, Java, Internet Explorer and various 3rd party browsers. You will conduct extensive system reviews for external customers where you will review operating system and application patching trends as well as make general system patching/hardening observations. Your recommendations will focus on missing Windows and 3rd party updates and may include in-depth discussions regarding operating system and software upgrades that align with the customer's IT environment, their business goals, and objectives while minimizing loss of production. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting approved changes. Jack Henry provides strong opportunity for career progression not only within Gladiator but across the organization as well. Minimum_Qualifications * Must have a minimum of 18 months experience in troubleshooting technical issues. * Must have experience working in a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or higher environment. * Must have experience working in a Microsoft Windows 7 or higher environment. * Must be able to work Monday Friday 8 AM 5 PM CST. * Must be able to travel up to 5% to attend additional meetings, training and or attend a professional conference. * Preferred_Qualifications * Associates degree. * Cloud based solutions * Experience with any of the following that are listed: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), VMware Horizon View or Citrix XenDesktop or any other Remote Presentation technologies. * Applicable technical certification(s) preferred (A+, Network+, MCSE, MCITP, VMWARE VCP). * Operations experience within a Manage Service Support Product model. * Experience working with any enterprise level patch management solutions such as Solarwinds N-able, Ivanti Lumension, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Kaseya VSA Patch Management, Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other enterprise level patch management solutions is essential. * Experience working with any enterprise level vulnerability scanners such as Tenable Nessus scanner, Retina Network Security Scanner, Qualys Vulnerability Management, Beyond Trust Retina Scanner or other enterprise level vulnerability scanners is essential. * Essential_Functions * Installs current network operating system on new or existing devices and/ or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls. * Installs software on networking devices. * Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology. * Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes. * Assists with the preparation of network assessments and certifications. * Installs current network operating server software on new or existing server-class hardware and/or installs communication equipment including routers, terminal servers, switches and firewalls. * Installs supporting applications and peripherals on servers including tape backup hardware and software, email software, anti-virus software, etc. and/or implement technologies. * Installs user workstation hardware, operating software and various application software and/or pre-configured equipment. * Configures user IDs and customer-specific settings on servers and transfers data from the old environment to the new environment. * Corresponds with customer and other divisions within the company to insure all customer concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner. * Prepares statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations. * Equal Employment Opportunity Applicants for U.S. based positions with Jack Henry & Associates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
