At Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) we are proud to be a farmer-owned milk marketing cooperative. --Our--Beverage and Dairy Foods Division finds innovative ways to use milk components to work with world class customers to develop, manufacture and package their products.-- We offer a culture of inclusion and engagement that empowers our employees through training, business understanding and growth opportunities.----It takes an incredible team to deliver the goodness of our products - come join us!------------Position Profile:--The Staff Accountant is a financial business partner with the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset, and Cost Accounting teams to facilitate and achieve accurate and timely financial information along with supporting month end close activities. --The Staff Accountant is expected to work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure proper execution of business practices, contracts, and advancing improvement efforts.-- The position is an important part of the financial talent pipeline.--Responsibilities:--1. Financial roleSupport accounts receivable / accounts payable functionsAssist with month-end close activitiesAssist in oversight and analysis of assigned plant inventoriesPost transactions in the ERP system, including journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, inventory revaluation, and adjustments.Develop and executes systematic processes that ensure strong internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, and adherence to corporate policies--2. Reporting and analysisAccounts receivable / accounts payable financial reporting and analysis Research and resolve receivable / payable issues by working directly with customers, suppliers, plant associates, and our corporate departmentsReview packaging and ingredient pricing and ensure price changes are approved by the appropriate customer if neededComplete account reconciliations and all other reporting as assigned3. Organizational RelationshipsReports to Divisional Accounting ManagerThis position works closely with divisional management, accounting personnel, and corporate finance departments
