Description:Under limited supervision, the Senior Accountant
produces accurate and timely financial statements and oversees the
corporate budget process. All tasks will be done using sound
practices and judgment with the goal of meeting regulatory
compliance and organizational priorities.Qualifications: Bachelor's
degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 years of experience working in
the accounting field. Proficient in financial reporting and
generally accepted accounting principals. Proficient in State sales
tax compliance. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent
Excel skills (pivot tables and data manipulation). Excellent
organizational and oral and written communication skills.
Experience working with and reporting on financial data. Ability to
perform under pressure. Ability to make sound judgments in
prioritizing tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to keep information in confidence. Ability to
prioritize, delegate and direct team members in order to meet
established deadlines. Accept and benefit from constructive
criticism. Be punctual, have a good work attitude and work
cooperatively with others in the department and company. Any other
relevant, equivalent combination of training and experience.Typical
Duties and Responsibilities:Produce accurate and timely financial
statements. Including but not limited to balance sheet, income
statement, statement of cash flow, departmental expense, and annual
financial reports.Oversee corporate financial budget process.Full
charge accounting for several companies.Oversee preparation of
sales tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, in an accurate and
timely manner.Oversee preparation of monthly general ledger journal
entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to
bank accounts, prepaid expense accounts, accrued accounts.Account
for fixed assets and depreciation.Coordinate monthly sales
commission calculation to ensure accuracy.Assist in annual
financial statement audit.Observes and adheres to DMP Data
Classification Standard.Observes company policies. Continuously
finds processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining
conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy
the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.May perform
related duties or fill in for others in the department or other
departments when requested. May train or instruct fellow workers
