Administrator is a full-time, exempt position and will be
responsible for managing and analyzing financial federal and state
educational grant programs. The role will support budgeting,
forecasting and reporting. The successful candidate will be
proficient in Excel and be comfortable working with financial data,
have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
(GAAP), and have the ability to work in a team environment with
collaborative cross functional working relationships. Key
Responsibilities
-
- Lead in the application processes, researching, reporting,
claims submissions, and closeout of key federal and state education
grants
- Analyze grant sources along with timing and reconciliation of
funding, reviewing accounting information detail
- Assist in developing content and procedures for timely and
actionable report preparation across Finance
- Analyze and report monthly grant financial results and provide
detailed reports and feedback for internal and external
stakeholders Qualifications

- Commitment and passion for Rocketship's mission, vision, and
goals
- 3-5 plus years of minimum experience working in grants
administration, accounting or finance
- Experience in grants financial management in educational or
nonprofit setting preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting (strong
knowledge of GAAP required)
- Strong understanding of financial statements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with accounting systems
- Ability to interpret complex grant funding requirements,
submissions, and budget projections
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently &
within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWork Location
The Finance team is based out of our Redwood City, CA national
office but currently is 100% remote. We are open to local
candidates (with flexibility to continue working remotely part of
