Job Description:
Job Description Controller Seeking an ambitious, professional,
and experienced Controller/Office Manager to work in a
manufacturing, wholesale and retail setting. The position is
responsible for producing monthly financial statements for multiple
divisions within one company. Responsibilities Manage all
accounting operations including invoicing, financial statements,
general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax
compliance, and revenue recognition utilizing SAGE 100 / MAS90
Supervise and review processing of payroll utilizing Paycom Payroll
Software Make weekly payroll journal entry from reports downloaded
from Paycom Oversee the daily processing of Accounts Receivable and
Accounts Payable Compute Sales Tax and file return monthly Compute
Use Tax and file return quarterly Maintain inventory system for
wholesale and retail sales within SAGE Keep an organized filing
system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and
debts Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Complete month-end and year-end close process Organize information
for external CPA firm to complete tax reporting Reconcile Work Comp
insurance weekly to different divisions and make journal entries.
Reconcile health insurance premiums against payroll deductions and
make monthly journal entries Ensure quality control over financial
transactions and financial reporting. Aid external CPA with local,
state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax
filings Additional controller duties as necessary Requirements
Proven working experience as a Financial Controller A working
knowledge of Sage 100 or Sage MAS 90 Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Capable of working in a fast-paced multiple faceted business
A working knowledge of Paycom would be helpful but not necessary A
working knowledge of medical, work comp and liability insurance 10
years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Bachelor---s degree or 10 years of proven experience in accounting,
finance, business administration or related field Thorough
knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with
creating financial statements Experience with general ledger
functions and the month-end/year end close process Analytical
ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Able to work well
with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team
